Reminder to enter the L&LPS Exhibition 2023

Leicester & Leicestershire Photographic Society’s Annual Photographic Exhibition 2023
to be held Friday 12th May to Saturday 13th May 2023.
We welcome entries to the Exhibition from club members and independent photographers.

This is a first and last reminder that entries close on Saturday 1st April 2023
Thank you to those who have already contacted us about entering.
Let me also remind you that this is a good opportunity to exhibit your images and that there are categories for open entries: Colour, Mono, Nature, Sport, and Great Central Railway as both print and projected digital image.

Trophies are awarded to category winners. In addition, winners of the Great Central Railway trophies get free family day tickets for the railway.

Wednesday Meeting.

John,

The heating is not working properly at the Institute. Jon has arranged with Codsall and Wergs Garden Centre for us to go and photograph the aquariums. Preferably bring your camera preferably with a macro or short-focus lens. Jon will provide the black card to make tubes so that we can photograph without touching the glass. There is a coffee shop on site, meet at 10.15 am in the coffee shop.

The address is Wergs Hall Rd, Codsall, Wolverhampton, WV8 2HJ – down the side of The Crown pub on the A41.

Some date reminders.

Sorry but the practical session planned for Friday the 25th has been canceled.

Our last meeting at the Institute before Christmas is on the 14th of December.

Our Christmas meal is on the 16th of December.

We will start in January at the Institute on the 11th.

People also might be interested in the art workshop in the Wolverhampton Art Gallery on Saturday 3rd December.

Don’t forget to jog my memory if I’ve got anything wrong.

Don’t forget it is another Narrowboat trip tomorrow. Jon will be in the institute at the normal time preparing for the Halloween workshop, but I am not certain if there will be any Coffee or Tea available.

Arrive by 9.15 for the trip. Parking is at the Canalside Bar & Grill, Castlecroft Lane, Wolverhampton. WV3 8JX. There is plenty of parking available.

Tea, Coffee and Biscuits will be available.

Lunch will be available from The Anchor or the 3 Hammers Pub & Bistro (a short walk) or bring your own food.

The return should be about 4.30pm.

A quick reminder. Friday 16 September to be known as tomorrow, there is a Photography workshop at the Institute at 7pm. 

Needed a camera etc. You will find it far easier if you can bring a tripod and a remote release, wired or wireless.
