Leicester and Leicestershire Photographic Society wish to announce its forthcoming Annual Exhibition to be held Friday 13th May to Saturday 14th May 2022. It is intended to resume displaying images both in Print form and Projected Images (PDI) and hold a real-time/in person Exhibition at Christchurch Hall, Clarendon Park Road, Leicester LE2 3AH – our customary venue. For last year’s online Exhibition we increased the number of categories for ‘Open Entry’ i.e. non-LLPS members categories and this proved popular so we are maintaining those groups and adding one more -an Open Nature Print category. So in summary: the Open Print categories are; Any subject Colour; Any subject Monochrome; Nature; Great Central Railway ; and Sport. the Open Projected Digital Images categories are: Any subject Colour; Any subject Monochrome; Nature; Great Central Railway ; and Sport. The L&LPS members-only categories remain the same: Any subject Colour; Any subject Monochrome; Nature in both Print and PDI. We have decided to discontinue the Club entry category known as the Greenlees competition. Entry forms and conditions can be downloaded from the exhibition page of our website: http://www.landlps.org.uk/section881845.html and a poster can be downloaded here: https://app.box.com/s/hietcg0l78idlayd0vnz89ssmzt2jo90 If you are receiving this email on behalf of your club, I shall be very grateful if you would forward it and the attachments to your members. If all goes to plan, there will be an Awards ceremony on the Friday evening. NB Rules state that images entered into previous L&LPS Exhibitions are ineligible BUT the exception is for prints entered into the cancelled 2020 exhibition. This is a great opportunity for photographers to gain a wider audience for their work. If you have not considered entering before, please have a go this year! We look forward to receiving your entries from Friday 28th January. The closing date for entries is Saturday 26th March 2022. Thanks for reading this far and please get in touch with me by replying to this mailing if you have any queries. Jean Burbridge Exhibition Secretary |
